NONDISCRIMINATION


It is and shall be the policy of the Board to prevent discrimination on the basis of race, creed, country of origin, gender, age, or physical or other impairment or handicap not related to performance, position, assignment, and/or employment.

The Board declares that it does not and will not knowingly discriminate against any person or group of persons because of race, creed, age, country of origin, gender, of physical or other impairment of handicap not related to performance, position, assignment, and/or employment, nor will the Board knowingly sanction or permit its employees or others who may represent the Board to discriminate on the basis of race, creed, age, country of origin, gender, or physical or other impairment or handicap not related to performance, position, assignment.

The Board declares, pursuant to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, that it does not nor will it knowingly discriminate against any person or group of persons on the basis of gender in any educational programs sponsored by the Board or activities authorize by the District; nor will it discriminate on the basis of gender against any person or group of persons who may seek employment with the Board or who are employed by the Board.

The Board has appointed and hereby notifies all concerned that the Superintendent of the District, or the Board’s designee, will enforce this policy and serve as Title IX compliance officer, representing the Board in all matters pertaining to this policy.
