The Logan City Schools District’s first priority in an emergency is the safety of all students. In the event of an emergency we will secure the safety of our students and our schools before we make any outside communications. Once our students are safe we will move quickly to communicate important information to parents and the community. We will also make important updates as soon as they are made available.
To make sure that you receive all needed notifications please make sure that your information is updated in Aspire. To do this you must contact the secretary at your child’s school. Depending on the emergency you may also be able to find information on the District or School’s social media account, such as Facebook or Instagram.
In the event of an emergency please DO NOT GO TO YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL unless you are directed to do so. Police will restrict access to building during an emergency. Please DO NOT CALL YOUR CHILD’S SCHOOL unless directed to do so. Phone lines need to be clear in order to deal with any emergency personnel needed. We want you to stay informed but we do not want to place students in any unnecessary danger.

Our school has adopted The “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing, and drilling the protocol.
The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based on an all-hazards approach as opposed to individual scenarios. Like the Incident Command System (ICS), SRP utilizes clear common language while allowing for flexibility in protocol.
The premise is simple - there are five specific actions that can be performed during an incident. When communicating these, the action is labeled with a “Term of Art” and is then followed by a “Directive.” Execution of the action is performed by active participants, including students, staff, teachers and first responders. The SRP is based on the following actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter.
