Logan City School District
Logan City School District has served the city of Logan, Utah since 1872. We serve approximately 5,200 students from PreK -12th grade. We have 1 high school, 1 middle school, 6 elementary schools, an early childhood center and a special education preschool. Our Super Intendents is Frank Schofield (his experience). Our Business Administrator is Jeff Barben (his experience).
In the Logan City School District we work as a team to ensure that all students leave our schools ready to create a positive future for themselves and their communities. We have 9 departments that all do their part to help our students succeed.

The LHS class of 2023 collectively has
- 30 4.0 Students
- 20 Academic All State Award recipients
- 57 department medallions
- 84 completed CTE pathways
- 14 Sterling Scholars
- Awarded 2.3 million dollars of scholarships
We have 25 different clubs and organizations-
including HOSA, GSA, FBLA, Mountain Biking, Guitar
and more.
Famous graduates include:
Merlin Olsen (NFL player and actor)
Kip Thorne (Nobel Prize in Physics)
Lars P. Hansen (Nobel Prize in Economics)
We have a wonderfully diverse population,
representing over 16 different languages and
ethnicities.
In the last twenty years Utah has had 57
Presidential Scholar recipients, LHS has had 10
of those 57!
Our award winning Fine Arts programs include
photography, ceramics, painting, sculpture, theater,
orchestra, band, choir, and more
